When I talked to my mom last weekend, she asked me if it had been storming here. I told her that it had, but that the storms hadn’t been too bad. I think my mom is constantly expecting to hear stories of baseball-sized hail and swarms of locusts because those are the images of Texas that she sees on the Weather Channel.
Well, on Monday, just minutes after I returned from grocery shopping, all hell broke loose. The photo below is by no means the largest piece of hail that fell, but it happened to bounce close to the back door so that I could grab it without getting a concussion. I am still thanking God that I pulled my car into the garage before this started.
