Greg and I were in New York City last weekend while Eleanor stayed home with her grandparents. After living under such a dark, immense cloud last year, I can’t believe that my life is starting to have such bright moments. For a while, I didn’t think I would ever again care about visiting a museum or watching a ballet, but I’m getting there. One of the best parts of our trip was the food. Here’s a brief look at what I ate, and please forgive my so-so photos. I was hungry.
Dinner at Craft:
Green pea and bacon risotto (the photo couldn’t possibly do justice)
Donuts with dark chocolate and espresso cream (The best donuts ever, which probably qualifies them as the best food ever, because what’s better than donuts?)
Brunch at Cookshop:
Baked brioche French toast and maple-bourbon cheddar sausage (hiding in back)
